The results of the North West Regional judging for the CAMRA Winter Beer of Britain competition are in and there’s a strong showing from breweries based in Greater Manchester.
Winners in the following categories were judged and declared at the National Winter Ales Festival today, at the Sheridan Suite in Manchester and will go forward for judging in the the national Champion Winter Beer of Britain competition in 2014.

Congratulations to all the medal winners and particularly to the local breweries. Fingers firmly crossed for the Nationals next year!
And further congratulations are in order for the Marble Brewery, whose Stouter Stout took the silver in the 2013 Winter Beer of Britain, Stouts category. The overall Champion Winter Beer of Britain 2013 was Elland Brewery’s 1872 Porter, winning the award for the second time.
